Obituary of Glenda Kay Shelton

 

West Columbia- Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to the light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant Glenda Kay Shelton.

 

Glenda Kay Shelton was born in Swansea, SC on April 2, 1935 to the late L.D. and Margurite Huckabee Gunter.  Glenda was reborn as a child of God in the waters of Holy Baptism; she was confirmed in the Christian faith and was fed the life-giving body and blood of Jesus.  Glenda is survived by her sons; William “Bill” Scott, Jr. and Charlton Anthony “Tony” Scott; grandchildren, Jordan William Scott and Haliegh Elizabeth Scott; brother, Wayne Gunter (Frances); one nephew, Darren Gunter (Kim); one niece, Stephanie Pearn (Joe); and by the father of her children, William E. Scott, Sr. In addition to Glenda’s parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Levi Allan Shelton.

 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 9 -11 am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 2200 Lee Street Columbia, SC 29205. Burial will follow at Woodridge Memorial Park. The family would like to share a special Thanks to Dr. Frampton Henderson and staff for all the care and support that they have shown Glenda of the years. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
