Obituary of Ronald Allen Sox

Ronald Allen Sox, 76, entered into eternal rest on February 3, 2019 at Lexington Medical Center. Born on September 20, 1942 in Lexington, SC to the late Luther M. and Mary Sox, Allen enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening.

Allen retired from the South Carolina Employment Security Commission after 30 years and also served for 36 years in the South Carolina Army National Guard.

Allen is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice Sox; sons, William Craig Sox and Christopher Brian Sox; daughter, Rhonda Sox Key; grandchildren, Meghan, Matthew, Daniel, Rachael and Jacob; brothers, Thomas L. Sox, Roy W. Sox and George L. Sox; and sisters, Joyce Smith, Jane Amaker and Carol A. Sox.

In addition to Allen’s parents, he is predeceased by sisters, Melba Arnold and Grace Hannon; and brothers, John Sox, Billy Sox and Charles Sox.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3 PM at Cayce First Baptist Church with a funeral service at 3 PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Cayce First Baptist 600 Holland Ave., Cayce, SC 29033. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park.
