Obituary of Franklin H. Connell

Franklin “Frank” H. Connell, 85, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away January 23, 2019 at Colonial Gardens Assisted Living West Columbia. He was born on May 17, 1933 in Camden, South Carolina to the late Charles and Eula (Sinclair) Connell.  Frank was a proud United States Army veteran with honorable service in Korea during the Korean War.  After his military service, Frank came back to South Carolina and became a barber for more than 35 years.  He was an avid Clemson fan and would take in a game whenever he could.  When he was not enjoying his Tigers, he enjoyed spending time with his family, and especially his grandchildren.  He will be missed by those he loved and those that loved him.

Franklin is survived by his daughter; Cindy Senn (Jerry), a son: Steve Connell (Ronda), grandchildren; Andrew Senn, Samantha Ashby (Skylar), Matthew Senn (Samantha), Tyler Connell, Grant Connell,  great-grandchildren; Layten Senn, Emmalee Senn, and one more blessing to arrive.  Frank also leaves behind brothers; James Connell, Alvin “Al” Connell (Pat), Paul Connell (Mary Lou), Richard Connell (Betty), a sister; Doris Hoover (Buddy), a sister in law, Jeannie Connell and many other nieces nephews and cousins that will treasure his memory.

He was preceded in death by a brother Floyd “Dude” Connell

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Colonial Gardens for all their kindness and compassion during this very difficult time.

Funeral Services are incomplete at this time and will be announced at a later date.
