Obituary of Pollye Donahue Heavner

Pollye Donahue Heavner, beloved wife and mother, went to be with the Lord Jesus on January 14, 2019. She was born in Rome, GA, and grew up in Gaffney, SC. Her adult life was spent in Columbia, but she always loved going back to the places she grew up.

She was a gentle person, who loved animals and all people. She was kind to everyone she met. Her greatest joys came from being with her family and friends, and traveling around America with her beloved husband.

She is survived by Joe Heavner, her husband of 60 years, and their daughter, Kathy. Her love and goodness will be missed by everyone who was blessed to know her.

Services will be held at Whaley Street United Methodist Church in Columbia on Thursday, January 17, 2019. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. and the funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held in Gaffney, SC at Frederick Memorial Gardens at 1:00 on Friday, January 18, 2019.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to Whaley Street United Methodist Church, 517 Whaley St., Columbia, SC 29201.
