Obituary of Roy Jefferson Floyd

Roy Jefferson Floyd, 97, widower of Ruth W. Floyd, died January 14, 2019 at Lexington Medical Center.  He was a native of Barnwell County.  Survivors include his sons: Barry Floyd (Kelly), grandson, Alex Floyd, granddaughter, Megan Cohen (Caleb); Tim Floyd, granddaughter, Chesley Geyer (sons, Chance and Cole), granddaughter-in-law, Cristina Floyd (son, Eric); special friend Betty McLellon; sister, Vera Ransom.

He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Floyd and Bertha Estelle Floyd; grandson, Jeffrey Vernon Floyd; brothers, James and Leland Floyd; sisters, Evelyn Parker and Helen Jackson; and daughter-in-law, Joyce O. Floyd

He retired as a District Manager at Midstate Mills.  He was an active member of Cayce United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Cayce United Methodist Church with the service following at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.  Entombment will be at Southland Memorial Gardens.
