Obituary of Charles Eugene Willyerd

Charles Eugene Willyerd, 86, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away January 2, 2019.  He was born on September 12, 1932 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Weslie and Laura (Hale) Willyerd.

Mr. Willyerd retired from the Army after 20 years of service.

Charles in preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ruby Louise Willyerd and a son, Charles "Randy" Willyerd.

Charles is survived by his son, Joel Scott Willyerd; daughter in law, Betty Willyerd; sister, Viola Acosta;  sister in law, Mary Steele; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 6:00 p.m.  -  8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church.
