Obituary of Floyd W. Miller

Floyd W. Miller Jr. died on December 28, 2018 in Columbia, SC. He was born January 28, 1940 in McKeesport, PA.  He was the son of Floyd Wilson Miller Sr. and Anna Pearson.  Floyd was married to Peggy Ann Easterling.

Floyd retired from the military, after having served in both the US Navy and US Army.  After retiring from the service, he worked as an R.N. nurse in the E.R. at Moncrief Army Hospital in Columbia, SC. 

In addition to his wife of 55 years, Floyd is survived by his three children, Mark L. Miller and wife Karen; Nancy Miller Johnson and husband Jerry; Floyd W. Miller III, and wife Tammy.  He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Floyd wrote several books for the Orangeburg County Historical Society of Orangeburg, S.C. and is a life time member of that society. Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park is assisting the family.
