Obituary of Viola Gibson LeRoy

Viola Gibson LeRoy, 86, of West Columbia, was born on December 13, 1932 in Seneca, SC and was reunited with her husband of 57 years on her birthday! She was born to the late Andrew Lee and Dessie Hawkins Gibson.

Mom, grandmother and great grandmother to her daughters and families: Gail and Jerry McCormick  of South Congaree, Chad and Nicole McCormick, Kimberly McCormick (Kira and Alecia ), Allison and Jason Barrs (Foster, Will and Caroline); Tracy Hicks Johnson of Cayce,  Matthew and Stefanie Hicks, (Hailey and Emma), Carl Johnson and Miranda (Hunter, Maddox and Mason),  Erick Johnson and Kristina (Ethan, Eli and Kaysen); Lori and Charlie Branham  of Ballentine, Rebecca and Alex Mills, Rachel LeBouef , Regan LeBouef. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Doris and Johnny Webb of Greenville and Linda Hinson and Jimmy Wade of Pickens; 1 brother, George and Elaine Gibson. Viola was blessed by many nieces and nephews.

Viola is also reunited with her brothers and sisters, Pauline Thompson, Irene LeRoy, Ernest Ray Gibson, Elizabeth Thomason, Melvin Gibson and Robert “Shorty” Gibson. She loved and was blessed with the LeRoy Families! Special Thanks to Sterling Morrow, Willie Kay Wilson, Carolyn Owens and Anna Owens. 

Funeral Service will be held Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, with visitation one hour prior to time of service. Burial will follow in West Side Baptist Church Cemetery.
