Obituary for Russell Chavis

Warren Russell Chavis, 59, of Swansea, South Carolina passed away December 5, 2018 in Columbia. He was born on July 11, 1959 in North, South Carolina to James and Norma (Hill) Chavis.

Warren is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deirdre, father, James Harvey Chavis, daughter, Angie Smith (Michael), son, David Chavis (Brooke), sister, Wanda Sturkie (Bubba), brother, Mark Chavis (Cam) and grandchildren, Kailee and Jacob.

He was preceded in death by his mother Norma, brother, Jimmy and sister, Donna Lynn.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.  Funeral services will follow in the Thompson Funeral Home chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will be at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in North, South Carolina.  Pallbearers for the service are Troy Caulder, Mike Jeffcoat, Doug McCarthy, Arthur Myers, Thayle Singleton and Larry Williamson.
