Obituary of Glenn David Padgett

Funeral Services for Glenn Padgett, 65, of West Columbia, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 2491 Emanuel Church Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. Pastor John Derrick will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Richland Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Ward, South Carolina. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington which is assisting the family.

Mr. Padgett passed away November 29, 2018 at his home. Born in Batesburg, SC, he was a son of the late Donald and Carolyn Warren Padgett. Glenn was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He had retired from Carolina Scales after 34 years of service.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kathy M. Padgett; son, David A. Padgett (Lisa) of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Olivia and Edward Padgett; 2 sisters and 4 brothers. In addition to his parents, Glenn was predeceased by his son, Kevin Michael Padgett; a brother, Arthur Padgett.

The family would like to thank the staff of South Carolina Oncology Associates and Amedysis Home Health for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
