Obituary of Billy "Bill" Keith Eden

West Columbia—Billy Keith “Bill” Eden, 87, of West Columbia, SC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 8, 2018. He was born in Berea, KY, the son of the late Jesse Arthur Eden and the late Gladys Norvelle Eden.

Bill was a dedicated husband and father, survived by his wife of 53 years, Lucy Wise Eden; children, Cindy (Laird) Thompson, Randy (Sharon) Eden, Melody (Mike) Collins and Billie Kay (Jeff) Morris; grandchildren, Jacob and Nicholas Thompson, Evan Eden, Grant and Keith Gouveia, Jonathan Eden, Mic Collins, Jesse, Cole, Faith and Sam Morris, and 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Delores Eden Kucera.

Bill was an Air Force veteran and a member of American Legion Post 90.  He was also a proud member of Fort Motte Hunt Club and Po Boys Hunt Club.  Bill was retired from Federal Land Bank and a member of Platt Springs United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2018 in the sanctuary of Platt Springs United Methodist Church, 3215 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29170, immediately followed by a funeral service conducted by Reverend Michael Hood. A private burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.
