My condolences to your family. I tried unsuccessfully to contact Curtis several times in 2018. Growing up on Putnam St in Columbia, my back yard butted up against Ms Mac's daycare, where Curtis spent days as a child. Robbie Messina (my best friend) and I frequently talked with Curtis across the fence. Around age 13, I fell head over heels for the Pitts' foster daughter, Patty Roberts. I became a regular around their house for a couple of years thereafter. In 7th grade, my family moved out of the district because it became unsafe for me to attend school in the area. However, I truly enjoyed wonderful times with Patty, Curtis, and Christopher. The Pitts family was very welcoming and kind.
