Myra Epting

Obituary of Myra Louise Epting

WEST COLUMBIA—Myra Louise Epting “MyMy” passed away October 12, 2018. She loved Jesus Christ and served Him diligently. She graduated from Rock Hill High School and Furman University. Also, she attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She taught music in the public school system for over 30 years as well as served in numerous Southern Baptist Churches as Minister of Music.

MyMy was always smiling and full of joy. Her love for her family and the encouragement she always brought others is what we will all remember most about her. She was a prayer warrior and would always find the best in others - a great daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to so many. And let’s not forget about her love for all things purple and for her sister, Renee’, who we are so thankful for providing selfless care for so many years.

She is predeceased by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. B.I. Epting; and a sister, Marcelyn. She is survived by a brother, Dr. James B. Epting (Gretchen); and a sister, Renee’ Laird; nephews, Bert Epting (Hannah) and Paul Epting (Caroline); and a niece, Daphne Weyand (Nate); along with nine great-nephews and nieces.
