Obituary of Edward Charles FitzPatrick, Jr.

Edward Charles FitzPatrick, Jr. entered into enteral rest on September 2, 2018 at Lexington Medical Center. Born June 4, 1947 in Waterbury, CT to the late Edward Charles FitzPatrick, Sr. and Minnie Brennan FitzPatrick., he worked at Walmart (White Knoll) for the past 10 years, and attended Croft High School. Edward loved Dale Earnhardt, Sr., loved Barbara Streisand, and the Brooklyn Dodgers. 

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Mary Kritzman FitzPatrick; daughter, Kerry Ann Ratzlaff (Michael) and Jeniffer Dugan both of Lexington; son, David R. Dugan (Tisa) of Prospect, CT; sister, Karen Trudeau (Marcel) Charleston, RI; stepbrothers, David Owen Dugan (Mona) of Waterbury, CT, Eddie Dugan (Lori) of Watertown, CT, Jimmy Dugan of Daytona, FL, Alan Dugan (Serena) of Wolcott, CT; stepsisters, Barbara Danisevich (Dennis) of Wolcott, CT, Ruth Mielke (Dave) of Ormond Beach, FL; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren with one on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

Edward was predeceased by his step mother, Agnes Cuddy Dugan FitzPatrick; sister, Lorraine McKenna; and brother in law, Patrick McKenna; and stepbrother, John B. Dugan, Sr.

A memorial service for Edward will be held 1 PM, Saturday  September 8, 2018 at Covenant Community Church 1302 Old Orangeburg Road, Lexington, SC 29073, with a light lunch starting at 11:30 AM.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Eva Miranda (ICU Nurse at Lexington Medical Center), special thanks to Wen Bin Zhao, Walmart-White Knoll, White Knoll High School Basket Ball Coach Devin Liferidge, Chaplin Scott York and Pastor Andy Newell, for helping our family during this difficult time.

Edwards’s grandsons, Nevin Owen Dugan, Jonathan Mark David Ratzlaff will be pallbearers.
