Paul Truesdale, Jr.

Obituary of Paul Seaborn Truesdale, Jr.

Paul Seaborn Truesdale, Jr. “Twig”, 79, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away June 25, 2018 at his home. He was born on August 24, 1938 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Paul S. Sr. and Sarah Sutherlin Truesdale.

Mr. Truesdale graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1956. He retired from Bell South after 40 years of service. Twig was a loving father who was full of personality and lived life to the fullest. Anyone who knew him has a funny story to share of the time that you and Twig did something together. Family and friends were amazed at his ability to "fix" anything and his children will forever carry the lessons he taught them both in life and in skills. "Daddy" was truly their best friend and he will be terribly missed, but we will learn from his lead in enjoying life. As an avid fisherman, some of his happiest times were spent on his boat "Double T" and Lake Murray.

Paul is survived by a son, Paul Seaborn Truesdale, III (Trey) and his wife, Darlene of Chapin, SC; three daughters, Sarah Faye Truesdale of Columbia, SC, Paula Truesdale Gardner and her husband, Jeffrey of Columbia, SC and Kimberly Truesdale Nunnery and her husband, Charles Kenny (Chester) Jr. of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren, Haley Mae and Tracy Faye Truesdale, Kendra Ann Nunnery and Sarah Lina Gardner; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Thomas of Aiken, SC.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. with a funeral service following at 2 p.m in the chapel. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
