Obituary of Ronald Ray

Ron passed away Monday June 18, 2018.  He was born in Columbia, SC and was the son of the late Benjamin and Leola Ray.  Ron enjoyed cooking and was an avid fisherman. He was looking forward to doing more fishing and spending time with his family after his recent retirement. Ron is survived by his wife Virginia, daughters Nykesha Mouzon and Aftan, sisters Esther Jackson, Carolyn Brown, Eartha and Mattie Ross, brothers James, Billy, Roger, Harry and Charles. He was predeceased by his brother Bennie Lee. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of lifelong friends who are special to him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia. Burial will follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
