I was out of the country when this happened. I'm sorry to hear about my fellow procurement officer and friend Sam passing. I just spoke to him at the reunion and he was so full of life and happiness know he was to get married very soon. I owe Sam a lot because when I had a procurement problem I knew the only person that could help me was Sam. RIP my friend and God be with your family and fiancée to help them with this loss.
I had the pleasure of getting to know Sam when my son was playing little league baseball. What a wonderful man...my heart felt condolences to all of his family and friends...this is a big loss indeed !
I came to know Sam while working in the 80's and 90's at PMSC. Sam was a great athlete, and fierce competitor. I will always remember our "battles" on the volleyball court and golf course. Sam was always full of life. I will miss him.

I had the pleasure of working with Sam at ITMO. Sam had such an upbeat personality, sense of humor, and a "can-do" attitude. He had an infectious laugh and I can't picture him without a smile. Sam introduced me to the phrase, "Have a blessed day," and there's no doubt he brightened the days of all those blessed to know him.
I loved Sammy , he was a funny caring man and I hate that there won't be anymore time with him.....he will truly be missed especially during family get togethers. I know that Janice and his kids and grandkids will have a long road ahead of them..

I will miss seeing Sam at the SVH Annual Gatherings. That seems to be the only place we have met over the past 6 years, but I remember when we played on the same team in the Dentsville Basketball League in Jr. High and/or at SVH. Over the years since, when we did see each other, we always talked about playing around of golf. Now I can look forward to playing that round on a beautiful course above. Behave Sam, play well and keep your playing privileges intact.
Rest in Peace my Friend.

I met Sam through our SCAGPO organization. Even though I did not know him well, I thought a lot Sam. He was one of the most upbeat people I knew. He was allways smiling and pleasant, always willing to help in any way, always running around at SCAGPO annual meeting, putting out all sorts of fires for everyone. Just a great guy. I know that his family and his SCAGPO family will miss him terribly. My prayers for God's amazing peace are with you.
I only knew Sam through his work with the State of SC. He was always so quick to pick up the phone and call to help me, or anyone, with problems, even though he probably really didn't have time to do that. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. My condolences to his fiance' and to his family.
