Spotsylvania, VA – Warren Alexander Bateman – Funeral services for SMSGT Warren A. Bateman, USAF (Ret.), will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29223. Pastor Mark Bredholt will officiate. Services will conclude with full USAF honors.
Mr. Bateman passed away June 14, 2018 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Born in Lees Mill, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Augustus Owens Bateman and Lenora Neal Bateman. He proudly served his country in both the US Army and the US Air Force, from which he retired after 30 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who will be missed by all who knew him.
Warren is survived by his children; sons, Alex (Deborah), Ronnie (Debbie), and Max (Diane), grandchildren, Brent (Jenn), Candice, Ryan, Heather, Scott, Amanda and Kayla, great grandchildren Jazzmyn, Savannah, Janiyah, Leland, Savon, Bruce and Jaiyna, sisters Annie, June (Don), and Lois (Arlin). In addition to his parents, Warren was predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Eugenia Bateman, and Daughter, Vicki Bateman.
