Obituary of Elizabeth H. Justice
Elizabeth Hipp Justice, 89, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away April 7, 2018 at The Lowman Home in Chapin, South Carolina. She was born on November 17, 1928 in Elloree, South Carolina to the late J Theo and Ruth Shoemaker Hipp. Elizabeth was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was strong in her Christian faith and was a long time member of Lutheran Church of the Incarnation. Elizabeth served on the sewing group, she was a greeter, and used her talents as a singer in the funeral choir. She served her community and others as a surgical technician for over 25 years. She will be missed by those she loved and those that loved her.
Elizabeth is survived by children, Shirley J. Lindler (Walter), Eloise Justice, Brenda J. Kennedy, Floyd J. Justice, Jr. and A. Kevin Justice (Mary); grandchildren, Brian D. Kennedy (Nancy) and Allen R. Kennedy (Jessica); eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Floyd J. Justice, Sr.; a daughter, Louise J. Hall; a great granddaughter, Natalie Elizabeth Kennedy; and a sister, Mickey H. Taylor.
The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 10 AM until 11 AM. Funeral services will follow the family visitation in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park following the service.
