Obituary of Stacey H. Lowery

Stacey Homer “Butch” Lowery, age 66, from Columbia, SC, died peacefully on Sunday morning, April 1st, 2018.  He was born on April 23, 1951 to Paul and Mary Lowery in Augusta, GA.  Stacey was a PVT in the US Army where he was an aircraft turbine mechanic.  He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his daughter, Tami Lowery (Ryan) Johnson and two grandsons, Troy and Dylan all of West Columbia;  four brothers, Clint (Terry) Lowery of Lexington, Elton (Janie) Lowery of Columbia, David (Brenda) Lowery of Matthews, NC and Jim Hachadurian of Marion, NC.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Stacey was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya Lynn Lowery; father, Paul A. Lowery; and mother, Mary T. Lowery.  He was also preceded in death by his niece, Kelly D. Lowery; nephew, Elton N. Lowery, Jr.; and nephew, Brian K. Lowery.

Services for Stacey will be held on Friday, April 6th, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home with the graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Serenity Gardens.
