Obituary of Betty R. Bradley

Betty R. Bradley, known to many as "Mimi", passed away on March 24, 2018 at the age of 82. She was born on January 13, 1936 in Florence, SC. Betty married her high school sweetheart, Marvin Bradley, in September of 1952. They were married for 52 years in which they had 5 children. She was a long-time employee of Winn Dixie where she retired after 30 years. After raising her family in Columbia for many years she and her husband moved to Blythewood. After moving she spent time gardening, reading, and taking care of her dog, Trouble. She is survived by her children, Guy ( Don Metz) Bradley of Columbia, Dennis (Susan) Bradley of Gibert, Michael (Elizabeth) Bradley of Elgin, Missie ( Randy) Broach of Blythewood: her brother, Robert "Bubba" Rhodes of Hartsville; 10 grandchildren; Michelle Fort, Amanda Ballington, Rachael Dechance, Lee Bradley, Ashley Dickert, Brandi Spirey, Spenser Bradley, Michael Broach, Emily Broach, and Madison Price, and 14 great grandchildren and number 15 on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Bradley, and son, Ray Bradley. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm. with Pastor Christopher Hanley officiating.
